Now that we’re here, let’s take a look at our old site
Hi everyone,
With the release of our new & improved website, I thought it would be nice to take a little look back to see what we had built over the past 4 years
I was rather keen on my old logo, but the logo wasn’t the main reason I decided on an overall rebrand.
A bit of behind the scenes:
The total cost of running my old website between 2021 and 2025 (Domain & Hosting only) totalled a staggering : £1,671.34. That’s more than my car!
That’s a lot of money for a hobby shop! And one of the main reasons why I decided it was time for a new website.
I figured, if I were to build a new website, I may as well try and get a more simple domain and design a cleaner logo that says what I do.
Unfortunately the simpler email address that I wanted was taken, so in that regard we’re still GlennsAntiqueShop@gmail.com
I’m reluctantly keeping my old website up for the time being while I move some more items across. Then I’ll disable it and turn my old domain into a redirect address to my new site for the remainder of that year and finally stop paying that absurd total.
Anyways… Here’s what my old homepage looked like, and I was pretty proud of it (& prefer it to what I currently have here)
